Sailing in the BVI's

From St. John we took the ferry over to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands to pick up our boat and meet up with the 7 other friends for a week long sail on a 47ft Catamaran. We stopped at Norman and Cooper Islands, the Baths, Anagada, Trellis Bay, Jost Van Dyke and Soper's Hole. I think everyone's favorite was Anagada and White Bay on Jost where the famous Soggy Dollar Bar is. There's a ring toss game there that's my happy place. There was a dicey enterance into Anagada, last time I was there there were maybe 7 boats in the harbor but this time around there were probably 60 (doesn't really fit that many) since there was a big regatta...and our entrance to the harbor happened to coincide with about 10 minutes of hard rain and 30+ knot winds, shallow water, a mooring ball with no margin of error before a reef and a port engine that quit...but we got on fine and had a blast there. Photo is of the group in a tree at Trellis Bay/Beef Island. L/R Sean, Sara Elizabeth, Gerry, Me, Carrie, Kenny, Maggie, Angela, Eberly.
