After two nights in Stonetown Zanzibar we took a ferry to Dar es Salam in Tanzania. Stonetown is an almost quaint but not really quaint little town that had some pretty interesting buildings and a bit of a contrived night market, not too much to hold you there. We took a ferry to Dar and the seas got a little choppy which turned the boat into a full fledged puke fest with excellent acoustics...even Wortman got into the act with the locals. We then had two nights in Pemba at a resort that was clean and soulless. Edge and I took a flight out to the island of Ibo which is part of an archipelago off the coast. That turned into one of the highlights of the trip so far.
have to post info on Ibo and our 13hr local chapa ride to Vilanculos...
