San Francisco to Tanzania

I've been back in San Francisco and LA for the last 3 weeks after 3 months of travel in Asia. I've now been traveling since February 5th including a couple quick trips back to the US after South America and before Asia. I've visited Chile, Argentina, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Thailand, Nepal, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. The trip has been nothing short of amazing. Today I fly out to Amsterdam, lay over for a day, and then continue on to Tanzania. I'll spend 11 weeks in Africa. I'm traveling with 3 other former WaMu guys who have also been laid off, Eberly, Tim Wortman and Tim Edge. We'll spend about a month in Tanzania, first climbing Kilimanjaro, then a Safari, ending with a few days on the beach in Zanzibar. We'll work our way through Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, and perhaps Botswana. Plans are pretty solid for the first month and then we'll figure it out as we go a bit.

I had a great time in the US for 3 weeks, seeing family and friends. It's nice to be in the comfort of home for awhile. Hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities to post some blogs along the way. Pic is of Carrie sorting out the many meds needed for a 3 month Africa trip...with gear everywhere.
